The food system, and our part of it (snacking), is broken. Thanks to the snack-establishment, snacks leave people unsatisfied and feeling guilty. Their best efforts are helping people to consume 22kg of sugar more than they need every year, that’s 3 times the recommended amount. Not to mention the salt and empty calories. To the point where people try to avoid having snacks altogether. That’s how little faith there is in our part of the food system - people believe their only option is to quit it altogether.

Our purpose at graze is to rewrite the snacking rulebook for healthy people and a healthy planet. We recognise it’s a daunting task - thankfully, we’re standing on the shoulders of giants, the founders of graze, who started to rewrite the rulebook of snacking:

… that snacks need to look a certain way

… that snacks come in wrappers

… that snacks are always bought from a shop

… that healthy can’t be tasty

… that convenience is always worse for the planet

And rewriting that rulebook remains our mandate today. We’re on a never-ending hunt for tastier, crunchier, fresher, better snacking and we think snacks made with seriously tasty, wholesome ingredients and lots of imagination is a good place to start.

When we show grazers - which can be everyone - that there is an alternative and that they don’t need to quit snacks to be healthy or to care for the planet, we’ll have accomplished our mission. And helped, in our own small way, to solve our part of the food system.

the role
 
The Head of Digital Commerce will sit within the Sales team at graze and will be responsible for growing the digital business at graze via DTC, Amazon, instant delivery and all other third party e-commerce retailers.   
 
what you’ll be responsible for

  • Setting the digital commerce strategy for our retail and digital commerce channel, whilst ensuring we are optimising the performance of our channels in order that we grow Revenue and Profit in a sustainable way.
  • Identify White Space across B2B, B2C.
  • Ownership of the digital commerce P&L, presenting digital trading results to the graze leadership team on a weekly basis.
  • Continuously monitoring and analysing the company performance, understanding the drivers behind this. 
  • Monitoring and reviewing competitor information to ensure the digital commerce strategy remains current and ahead of market trends.
  • Leading the Digital Commerce team.
  • Building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with the Leadership Team and all key stakeholders - across Sales, Category, RGM, Finance, IT and Technology.
  • Maintaining a strong, collaborative relationship with the CX team, as well as the wider Brand and Innovation teams to identify best practice ways of working and capitalise on future growth opportunities.

what we’re looking for in you

  • Experience driving growth through e-commerce channels, in a fast-paced environment, ideally in the FMCG sector. Subscription model experience is preferred.  
  • Excellent team leadership skills, with the ability to coach, support and challenge to create a high performing team. 
  • Strong data interpretation skills, experience with Tableau is a bonus!
  • Sharp commercial acumen, with an ability to spot growth opportunities and lead the team in acting on them quickly. 
  • Ability to influence others and gain buy-in from other teams.
